Though my hair wasn't super long or anything, but it felt as if it was weighing me down or in the way of things. I made up in my mind that this is it, and I just couldn't deal with the hassle of managing two hair textures. I grabbed a pair of scissors and a wide tooth comb and I began cutting it, then my youngest nephew cut off a big chunk, and my sister cut the majority of it. Here are my thoughts about them.</span><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;"></span><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;"><strong>MAC:</strong> Okay, I copped a powder Blush in Eversun from the Style Warriors Collection and I love it! Lately, this has been my blush of choice everytime I want to spunk up cheeky's. This is a good summer color for me because it works as a bronzer and it doesn't show up too orange or red. I also got the E/S in High Manevores (I already know I jacked up the name..I always do) and I haven't bought any MAC shadow in a long while, but this another color that I've been grabbing for a lot. The color is a muddy color, but I like how you can smoke out a look with this color or play it neutral.</span><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;"></span><br /><span style="color:#cc6600;"><strong>Revlon:</strong> I jumped on the band wagon and grabbed these 2 mineral powders. I've been eyeing them for a while, but I was waiting for either Walgreens, Rite Aid, or CVS to have a sale for BOGO and all 3 of them did this week. I got these from Walgreens and they had these babies BOGO plus an extra $3 off....yessss! I got them both for $10.99 so how do ya like that!? Anyway...lol I love love love the pinky one which is Brighten because it makes a very nice highlighter on my cheeks bones. Now the other one is in Sunkiss and this one makes a nice highlight as well as an all over powder as long as I use a big fluffy brush because it can be shimmery.</span><br /></span><span style="color:#cc6600;"><br /></span><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMdxhx6pfeF2kr-pz8uywe-z7RtKt6TuZJS_xk8yT-5OjqUUfDxvmqu-7NQonzDHIlV5VMTexf7WRUC0sabVPLP1L7chDECT0rjvOANQ_ioBlJiRm34EzuQvD4O8iBpwDBbV1ArBrQd10/s1600-h/swatch.JPG"><span style="font-size:85%;color:#cc6600;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350257519556860434" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMdxhx6pfeF2kr-pz8uywe-z7RtKt6TuZJS_xk8yT-5OjqUUfDxvmqu-7NQonzDHIlV5VMTexf7WRUC0sabVPLP1L7chDECT0rjvOANQ_ioBlJiRm34EzuQvD4O8iBpwDBbV1ArBrQd10/s400/swatch.JPG" border="0" /></span></a><span style="font-size:85%;color:#cc6600;"> I swatched them on my stubby little fingers so its probably not the best quality of a swatch. From top to bottom I have Revlon's Mineral Finishing Powder in Brighten, Revlon's Mineral Powder in Sunkiss, MAC Blush in Eversun, and last but not least the name that I jack up the most MAC's e/s in High Maneveurs.</span><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghWNp4ACcUAScARKeWBqw1zT4mKppRFYIEPghjGMpVGR01Usu6cUj-awf191dOb5RirswoRJBI6YlsBKjN2NTp-_0BXwmrN28H7uXf8YhdsZ32YC0-cLVNvOg0LIPAKvbvrQzuJL4d2vc/s1600-h/swatch.JPG"></a><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div>MakeupBlisshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06207714143880758920noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2896060080883505178.post-11819905625840577012009-05-08T10:32:00.000-07:002009-06-19T07:30:56.344-07:00Review on Revlon ColorStay Foundation<span style="color:#ffffff;"><em><span style="font-size:85%;">::I'm sure you've seen a million reviews on the Revlon ColorStay Foundation from different blogs and You Tube videos, but here's what I have to say about it.</span></em><br /><br /><br /><br /></span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdtEefWI9RMm5wSKCaWVi_9WsyJqGIG8ZyUkithGq8RpWrkblRT342hKwTQG8EZyflEw_qskkxrp6-Wj4DqjFyGZYlVGRfA1ARzi5eMuVEG90WlIQ8zXPz1iWH_DZsre1rD4dpUoWgw5w/s1600-h/MU.jpg"><span style="color:#000000;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5333507699830990994" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 198px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 252px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdtEefWI9RMm5wSKCaWVi_9WsyJqGIG8ZyUkithGq8RpWrkblRT342hKwTQG8EZyflEw_qskkxrp6-Wj4DqjFyGZYlVGRfA1ARzi5eMuVEG90WlIQ8zXPz1iWH_DZsre1rD4dpUoWgw5w/s320/MU.jpg" border="0" /></span></a><span style="font-size:85%;"><span style="color:#ffffff;"><em> ::I've been wearing this foundation since march and figure I would need a little more time than just a week or two to get the actual feel of this foundation because I'm very notorious for getting something, trying it, not liking, trying it again, and then absolutely loving it!</em><br /><br /></span></span><span style="font-size:85%;"><span style="color:#ffffff;"><em><span style="color:#ffffff;">::After reading a bunch of reviews on how great this foundation is..I figured I would give it a try since nothing else I was using at the time was working. I did a small</span> test in the store on my jawline and it was a perfect match. When I wore it for the first time I tried it with my stippling brush and I liked how it blended , but wasn't enough coverage (I have bad acne scars) and it seemed watered down. The following day I applied this with a foundation brush and once again..it didn't cover as much as I wanted it too (I like my foundation to cover as much as possible because I don't like to use a ton of concealer)..I put this on my makeup stand and went back to using my MAC Select Spf 15 and then my skin started breaking out, I stop using that and I started using my Maybelline Liquid Mousse foundation, but I stop using that because I was a grease monkey within 2 hours of applying and that's using mattifyers, primers, etc.<br /><br />::Well since I was losing my battle with finding that "perfect" foundation, I figured I've give the Revlon Colorstay a try once again. I applied it with a stippling brush and that did the trick! I had flawless results and I was pretty pleased with it. Even though I use the Combination/Oily Formula, My nose still gets very oily so that's the only area that I don't use it on. I like it because it doesn't leave that ugly brown stain on your collar and it stays on all day.<br /><br />:: I wear this in Combination/Oily Skin in the color 400 Caramel. For those of you who are:<br /><br />1. MAC NC45/50<br />2. Iman Foundation Stick in Earth 1<br />3. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in Caramel<br />4. Loreal True Match Cappucinno<br /><br />Pros:<br />You can easily find this at any drugstore, walmart, target, etc. and you can find it on sale. This does actually last all day and it doesn't get everywhere. It feels light on my skin and it doesn't give me breakouts. This foundation comes in a wide range of colors.<br /><br />Cons:<br /></em><em>Like others have said, there's no pump and it's easy to waste some of the product.</em></span></span>MakeupBlisshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06207714143880758920noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2896060080883505178.post-87826761700355380802009-05-06T11:06:00.001-07:002009-05-06T20:28:27.630-07:00LOTD: Red Lips<div align="center"><em><span style="color:#cc0000;">::Okay...I have been trying to do a post for about a week now and I have NOT been able too! My makeup buddy and myself went to explore these sweet treats at my local MAC counter during our lunch hour and I was pretty excited because we were the first two to test everything out. I knew there was some things going on with the original ad, but I still thought the display would be a little bigger, but anyway I bought 2 things from this collection...<em>Lollipop loving</em> lipstick and the <em>Simply Delicious</em> Trio Lipglass. I missed this lipstick when it came out with the Fafi collection so I was definitely going to get it this time around and the look of the Trip Lipglass had me sold at first glance because of how pretty all 3 colors were in one tube. </span></div><div><span style="font-size:85%;color:#ff6666;"></span></div><div><span style="font-size:85%;color:#ff6666;"></span></div><div><span style="font-size:85%;color:#ff6666;"></span> </div><div><span style="font-size:85%;color:#ff6666;"></span> </div><div><span style="font-size:85%;color:#ff6666;">::OK! Here's the real review! It couldn't wait until I got home to try these on so while I was on my break at work I tried them on and I absolutely HATED how it looked on me! Lollipop Lovin looked green with a goldish tint and the Simly Delicious Trio Glass looked flat out clear. I tried it on a few more times throughout the day and I still didn't like it! I was so dissapointed because I thought I was really going to love this collection. I felt bad for returning the items, but if I would have kept them...I wouldn't have used them. I know this perfume isn't new or anything, but I thought I would review it for those who are curious about it or for those that didn't even know they had perfume. MAC sells 5 perfumes: MV1, MV2, MV3, Pinkaura, & Turquatic, and I like the MV2 the best. Last week I purchased MAC's Turquatic Perfume (this one is the top seller of there perfume line), but it didn't smell all that great on me, so I exchanged it for the MV2 and it smells sooo good! It has a soft vanilla, Lemony, and kind of sweet smell and some of you may even like it as a fall or winter scent, because of it's cozy but delicious scent, but I don't follow the rules and I will be wearing this until I'm tired of it! lol</span></em></strong><br /><br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd_ra97mZncNDvXBYMBR320zIsGYSv3mhnHxqE0aTAIp7amSlpRkpczzXPR6cCGvPUIS0_XWbq9IfXv9ofs54mGsbk8WaF7qpboFX2kM2e-npdN_S_6lZ22i-J2qG_rPtCpEYzdSK8Wm0/s1600-h/logo_mac.gif"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5309332971675232098" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 157px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 17px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd_ra97mZncNDvXBYMBR320zIsGYSv3mhnHxqE0aTAIp7amSlpRkpczzXPR6cCGvPUIS0_XWbq9IfXv9ofs54mGsbk8WaF7qpboFX2kM2e-npdN_S_6lZ22i-J2qG_rPtCpEYzdSK8Wm0/s320/logo_mac.gif" border="0" /></a> <span style="font-size:180%;"><span style="color:#cc9933;">MV2</span><br /></span></div><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtEMtbSer8__oulvqD7xkFBda7s5OGc-__FRHSn0O63IvXXCfB90NWqi3PhTYh-7SZdE7EqLmfdghn6YorUpqDQ2UmX2uXUWFJWvsbxinWHz16hiIDZwJFkigiejT5n8fmxuvCa4cJstU/s1600-h/M5LF05.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5309332055876302898" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 168px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 232px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtEMtbSer8__oulvqD7xkFBda7s5OGc-__FRHSn0O63IvXXCfB90NWqi3PhTYh-7SZdE7EqLmfdghn6YorUpqDQ2UmX2uXUWFJWvsbxinWHz16hiIDZwJFkigiejT5n8fmxuvCa4cJstU/s320/M5LF05.jpg" border="0" /></a><strong><span style="color:#cc9933;"> Cool, calm, and classic. I have it in the color Caramel (I'm between NC45-NC50) and it has pretty good coverage. I was very surprised that I was able to find a color that matched my skin well because I have NEVER EVER been able to wear any of Maybelline's foundations because they are either too light or too dark for me. This foundation glides on smoothly and you don't need too use much to get full coverage and it does give the appearance of an airbrush look. My gripe about this foundation is that it DID NOT stay on all day and it made my face oily! I applied a primer underneath it and a powder over it and it just won't stay on past a couple hours. =o(I can't remember if I purchased this at Target or Walgreens, but it was around $7 or $8 and that's good because these stores usually have some sort of sell on it or you may find a coupon for it. Overall, I will not buy it again and I probably won't use the rest of this because I would have to keep applying it all day.</strong></span></em></div><br /><div align="left"><strong></strong></div><br /><div align="center"><span style="font-size:130%;color:#663333;"><strong>Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation</strong></span></div><br /><div align="center"><span style="font-size:130%;color:#663333;"><strong>Airbrush Finish</strong></span></div><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIMIIHNToFuw2SYojJgDLGXbbJWBbsXm0Tdi-GB4xN9eDN4hZ5mV_Vu9XIaRXEo_8F8tun8HAR3pf59GE8CEdQiJ8nmKktn8I_C6GO0zw43CFMfdS-TbZZ6690htZC_MHFR38K2heWhJQ/s1600-h/May.jpg"><strong><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5309331958505302130" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 346px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 216px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIMIIHNToFuw2SYojJgDLGXbbJWBbsXm0Tdi-GB4xN9eDN4hZ5mV_Vu9XIaRXEo_8F8tun8HAR3pf59GE8CEdQiJ8nmKktn8I_C6GO0zw43CFMfdS-TbZZ6690htZC_MHFR38K2heWhJQ/s320/May.jpg" border="0" /></strong></a><span style="color:#663333;"><strong>NEW Dream Liquid™ MousseLiquid mousse air-whipped formula provides skin perfecting coverage </strong></span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#663333;"><strong></strong></span></div><div align="left"><br /><span style="color:#663333;"><strong>Rating: 3 Stars ***</strong></span></div><div align="left"><span style="color:#663333;"><strong></strong></span></div><div align="left"><span style="color:#663333;"><strong>Cost: $7-9 depending on where you go</strong></span></div><div align="left"><span style="color:#663333;"><strong></strong></span></div><div align="left"><span style="color:#663333;"><strong>Pros: It covers very well for a drugstore brand and it does give an airbrush finish.
